Applethwaite, in the Northern Lake District, is an idyllic, peaceful hamlet on the edge of Keswick, with easy access to all areas of the National Park.

In an elevated setting overlooking Keswick, Derwentwater and Borrowdale, our characterful Victorian Country House has outstanding views and spectacular walks on the doorstep. The two acres of mature woodland gardens are home to red squirrels, and feature a putting course and bowling green.

Our two spacious, individual apartments, Irvine and Mallory, are the ideal base for a peaceful break in the Lakes. Each apartment sleeps 4, in 2 double/twin en-suite bedrooms. All modern facilities are provided to ensure a comfortable stay.
